Kylie Jenner’s private jet, which is currently the subject of a brand-new scandal, allows her to travel the globe with her famous family and friends. As part of her extravagant 42nd birthday celebrations, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians actress, who became a billionaire at the age of 21, offered the use of her own plane to fly big sister Kim Kardashian and a few friends to Las Vegas.
However, the gang’s voyage on “Kylie Air” ended in disarray when the Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft was unable to land in Sin City due to heavy weather. As a result, Usher’s performance was missed. According to reports, Kylie spent a staggering $72.8 million on her pink, customized aircraft, which features an entertainment suite, a master bedroom, and a sizable wardrobe. However, this has earned her the moniker “climate criminal.”
Inside the jet
To fit Kylie’s traditional color choice, pink decorations are adorning the lavish private plane from head to toe.
The exterior of the cabin, which is 8 feet wide and has 28 windows, is painted with the Kylie Skin emblem and two very large pink swooping lines.
Kylie and her friends are frequently welcomed by flight stewardesses wearing pink uniforms and a vibrant pink carpet leading to the steps as they enter the aircraft.
The 25-year-old, who is accustomed to living in luxury, has added 10 white leather seats with her initials stitched on them. These seats have much more leg room than you would ever find on a commercial trip.
On Kylie’s flight, there are no squished legs or disputes over the reclined seats in front of you, and each seat has a plush Hermès blanket.
There are lights around the walls that can be set to shine in various colors, and there is a bar with a neon-lit sign that reads “Kylie” in case you forget who owns it.
Along with her cosmetics and custom loungewear, Herstar-studded guests have also been known to receive silk Kylie Skin pillows and eye masks to aid in their sleep.
In one instance, Kylie revealed the opulent seven-course dinner that was being served onboard, proving that she doesn’t serve up your standard airline fare.
The menu included dishes like the Kardashian favorite Chinese Chicken Salad and Seared Mahi Mahi with pineapple mango salsa, sauteed spinach, grilled veggies, and pomme puree in addition to dishes like Roasted Tomato Bisque and Cheese and Spinach Ravioli with Butter Sage Pesto.
Elegant dinnerware is set up and the tables are folded down so that the delicious meals may be delivered to the passengers.
Not only is the cuisine wonderful, but Kylie’s aircraft also features a living room with a comfortable sofa positioned in front of a large television.
Additionally, Kylie can retire to the master bedroom, which includes a full-sized double bed, to take a nap if things become a little too intense during a long-haul flight.
Additionally, there are two restrooms, a sizable closet, a luggage storage space, a gallery, and a crew rest area.
Kylie, who is mum to four-year-old Stormi and baby Wolf with Travis Scott, loves to bring her family members and closest pals along for the ride.
In December 2020, she was joined by sister Kourtney Kardashian and her ex Scott Disick as well as Khloe Kardashian, niece True, and her dad Tristan Thompson for her birthday.
All the women on the flight were given matching tie-dye hoodies and sweatpants, while Kylie’s employees were seen carrying big gift baskets filled with all sorts of swag, such as custom pillows.
When Stormi turned two, Kylie and Travis took their daughter to Disneyland on the plane, with her mum posting a sweet snap on Instagram captioned: “Storm’s first Disney trip.”
The entire family also got on board in June 2020 for Kim’s daughter North’s seventh birthday – flying to Wyoming to celebrate.
Obviously the most recent plane journey didn’t end well as they were unable to land in Las Vegas due to the weather, forcing them to go back home.
“Vegas baby!” an excited Kim told the camera as she was filmed boarding the white jet clad in a glittering diamond encrusted bra and matching flared trousers as a troupe of showgirls waved her on.
Kylie’s jet had been decked out with birthday balloons, feather boas, personalised Kim shots and masks of Kim’s face everywhere for the party to continue in the air.
There was even a personalised Kim cocktail menu, with her passengers supping KimTinis, Billionaire’s Beverage and the imaginatively titled Keeks’ Kougar Kourage.
Despite the incredible effort, luck was not on the Kardashians’ side for the night and an upset Kim returned to Instagram to tell her followers: “The plane couldn’t land due to the wind so looks like our party and Usher concern isn’t happening. We are heading back home.”
Climate backlash
Kylie has received a lot of criticism for taking such little flights on her private plane; some have called her a “climate criminal.”
Kylie’s continuous boasting about utilizing her plane in ‘tone deaf’ Instagram postings has made the matter worse.
She had previously received criticism for taking a 12-minute trip from Palm Springs to Van Nuys in Los Angeles when a 40-minute drive would have sufficed.
The reality TV personality then took a flight from Van Nuys, California, to Camarillo in Ventura County.
The fact that Kylie drove 30 minutes in the opposite direction to get to the airport infuriated her fans, and many said that was the “worst thing” about her decision.
You wanna take mine or yours? Kylie captioned a photo of herself and boyfriend Travis Scott aboard their aircraft three days later, ignoring the criticism.
Numerous Kylie fans and followers alike criticized her choice of post, with one writing: “Who’s plane should we pollute the earth today.”
Another wrote, “Your waste of gas emissions or mine?” in jest, and a third said, “You’re an outright climate criminal Kylie.”
Despite the criticism, Kylie has continued to fly in the big aircraft for brief trips, including a trip to Milan in August of this year.
