Earlier last month, the rapper and actor Ice Cube bought a gorgeous new home in Marina del Rey, a small coastal enclave in Los Angeles County.

When the house was first marketed for $10 million, it had just been built in 2011. But the Los Angeles Times claims that Ice Cube paid $7.25 million for the canal-front property.

Hollywood is a tiny town made up of unlikely friendships. Jean-Claude Van Damme, widely known for his appearances in the films Blood Sport and Street Fighter, sold the house to Ice Cube.
