Inside Dennis Schröder’s Luxurious $4.3 Million Mansion in the San Fernando Valley

In November of last year, German basketball superstar Dennis Schroder was moved to the Los Angeles Lakers after playing for a spell with the Oklahoma Thunder and Atlanta Hawks. According to records, the 27-year-old Braunschweig native and his wife Ellen Ziolo have bought a $4.3 million property in the San Fernando Valley. He is currently discussing a contract extension worth tens of millions of euros.

The 2017-built home features an open floor plan with the dining, living, and family spaces merged into one large room. The listing describes the chef’s kitchen as “spectacular,” boasting an enormous SubZero refrigerator, custom cabinetry, and imported stone. There is also a double-sided black marble fireplace. Two sets of Fleetwood doors lead to a loggia with a fireplace, complete kitchen, and barbecue.

Six en suite bedrooms are spread throughout the main home, including a master suite on the upper level including two private balconies, two dressing rooms, and a resort-style bathroom with exotic stone and wood. Additional remarkable features of the house include an office, a ten-seat home theater, and a subterranean wine cellar beneath the grand main staircase with glass walls. Perhaps the most unusual feature is the large rooftop terrace, complete with spotlights, a barbecue, and views over the treetops of the pancake-flat San Fernando Valley.

The 0.35-acre property is entirely developed with an L-shaped lawn that passes by a large pool and spa. Beyond that is a two-story guesthouse with an additional ensuite bedroom, a second kitchen, and space for a fitness centre. Best of all, from Shroder’s perspective, is the concrete basketball court in the far back of the property, which provides a secluded area for him to practise his professional game.
