Kevin Durant lifts Phoenix Suns over Denver Nuggets in OT, snapping two-game skid

The Phoenix Suns (81-27) beаt the Denver Nuggets (42-20) 117-107 on the road on Tuesday. Kevin Durant scored eight of his 35 points in overtime to help his team win.

Phoenix won after losing two games in a row. The Suns are now 3-0 in overtime this season, and Denver lost its sixth straight game. The season series between Phoenix and Denver is now tied at one game apiece.

Grayson Allen scored 28 points, which was second best on the Suns, and made eight three-pointers, one less than his career high.

In the game, Nikola Jokic had 25 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 mistakes, which was the most in the game. Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 28 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists in the loss.

Early in the third, the Suns were ahead by as many as 22 points. But in the fourth, the Nuggets cut the lead to five points as Phoenix shot just five of twenty-four shots. Finally, Denver took the lead with 1:30 left on a shot by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, making the score 100–99. Murray made a three-point shot from mid-range that put Denver ahead by three with 45 seconds left in regulation. Durant then made his first three-point shot to tie the game with 26.1 seconds left and save the Suns.

Bradley Beal got five of his 16 points in the extra period, but Durant took over. Phoenix beаt Denver 15–5 in the last few minutes.

The Suns play the Toronto Raptors at home on Thursday at 7 p.m.
