The Milwaukee Bucks’ star player Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the NBA Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference for the second time this season. The person who won this award twice before did an amazing job in Week 14 by averaging 29.5 points on 60.5% shooting, 14.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.
During the past week, Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee to a 3-1 record. At the same time, rookie head coach Adrian Griffin was fired.

Giannis was named the East Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, a few hours before the Milwaukee Bucks played Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. It will also be Doc Rivers’s first game as head coach of the Bucks.Antetokounmpo will win this award for the second time; he won it in Week 8 as well. Earlier in the season, Luka Doncic played against Giannis on the West side. This time, however, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was named the best player in the Western Conference for the last week.This coming Tuesday, the Suns will host the Bucks in the fifth and final game of their five-game road trip.Keep in mind that Antetokounmpo put up these numbers even though Griffin left the team quickly (the Bucks fired him on Wednesday). After Griffin was fired, acting head coach Joe Prunty led the Bucks to a 2-1 record in their first game of the week. Griffin was still in charge of the team.
