Versatile guard Bruce Brown is one of the most sought-after names on the trade market after being dealt to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Pascal Siakam. The Denver Nuggets would love to have Brown back, but Chris Haynes of the #thisleague Uncut podcast recently said that it’s unlikely because of Denver’s lack of assets.
“I was told that the Denver Nuggets would love to have Bruce Brown back, but again, they’re in a similar situation like Milwaukee, where they just don’t have the picks to try to do that,” Haynes said. “But from what I’ve been informed, Bruce Brown is aware of their feelings. Even later on, it is something to be aware of.”
A second report from FanDuel TV and Shams Charania of The Athletic mentioned the Los Angeles Lakers as a club interested in Brown.
“The Lakers, I’m told, are continuing to monitor two players,” Charania said. “I believe that Bruce Brown Jr. of Toronto and Dejounte Murray of Atlanta were the two players at the top of their lists of targets heading into the trade deadline. I believe they will keep an eye on those two people. I anticipate that throughout the course of the next week, week and a half, or two, those discussions will continue.”
The Lakers are interested in Brown, but Charania pointed out that they can only deal with so many players, which makes things more difficult.
