With a triple-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 26 points from Khris Middleton, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 122-113 on Monday night.
With 31 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists in the game, Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks win for the fifth time in six meetings. At the end, Brook Lopez had 11 rebounds and 15 points.
With 23 points, Marcus Sasser led the Pistons, while Isaiah Stewart, a fellow backup, added 19 points and eight rebounds. For the second game in three nights, Detroit fell short against Milwaukee, with Jaden Ivey leading the starters with 17 points.
With 4:59 remaining, Lopez’s 3-point shot put Milwaukee up 110-109. Antetokounmpo then increased the lead to three points from the free-throw line, and with 3:30 remaining, Malik Beasley’s 3-pointer made it 117-111.
Due to Detroit’s оffensive struggles, Middleton’s 3-pointer helped the team go on a 15-2 run, giving Milwaukee an 11-point advantage.
Although Milwaukee had a nine-point lead in the third quarter, the Pistons were able to stay in the game due to their poor long-range shooting. The Bucks led 89-85 at the end of the quarter after going 3 for 13 from three-point range.
Marcus Sasser’s driving layup with 9:24 remaining gave Detroit a 96-95 lead, and he and Ivey kept scoring points off of Milwaukee’s big me𝚗.
Milwaukee led 58-56 at the half thanks to 13 points from Antetokounmpo, who made 3 of his 17 3-point tries.
