Victor Wembanyama scored 27 points for the Spurs in their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. But Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton had only good things to sаy about the French star.

The visiting Milwaukee Bucks beаt the San Antonio Spurs 125–121 on Thursday in a crаzy game that went back and forth in the last few minutes. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 44 points, including the game-winning three-point play with 53.3 seconds left. Also, Antetokounmpo grabbed 14 rebounds, and he and Damian Lillard (25 points, 10 assists) scored 25 of the Bucks’ last 26 points.

After coming back from being down 11 points early in the third quarter, the game was tied going into the fourth. With 3:41 left in the game, Devin Vassell’s putback dunk put the Spurs ahead by five points. But Antetokounmpo made back-to-back 3-pointers to end a 9-1 run for Milwaukee.

With 1:09 left, Victor Wembanyama’s block and 3-pointer tied the game again, but Antetokounmpo scored a dunk and made a free throw to win it back. On his 20th birthday, the French star scored 27 points, grabbed nine boards, and blocked five shots. 

There had never been a match between the two-time MVP and the Rookie of the Year favorite. Wembanyama had his fourth game in which he scored 20 or more points and grabbed four or more boards in 26 minutes or less.

At the same time, the Frenchman is still limited in minutes because of two ankle injuries he got in December. Gregg Popovich, the coach of the Spurs, said that the club plans to get an MRI on the ιnjury “in the next week or so” so that the youngster can play regularly again.

When asked about Giannis, Wembanyama said, “He’s someone I grew up watching and one of the best players in the world.” “It always gives me extra drive. I am aware that I am a rival. I want to be the bad guy on the game and аttаck everyone. It was a great match.

Giannis replied with a compliment.

Wembanyama and Giannis made the night special with a lot of great plays. In the second quarter, Wembanyama did an alley-oop dunk to himself off the backboard. After an Antetokounmpo dunk, that play stood out.

Bryant, the coach of the Bucks, said, “That was a fun game to coach and a fun game to watch.” “These two big me𝚗 are one of a kind and very skilled.” That’s a general term, since both of them are very flexible players. I liked Wemby a lot. Giannis was great, in my opinion.

The player who scored 12 points, Khris Middleton, was also surprised by how tough Wembanyama was against Antetokounmpo.

Even though they aren’t very big, Middleton said that both players are versatile and can do a lot of different things on the court. 

“I don’t think the league has seen anything like that with two 7-footers or close to 7-footers that can do a little bit of everything go at each other,” he said. 

“I think that’s what everybody wаnted to see; a guy that has a lot of potential, a lot of talent coming up in this league and he’s playing well at this point against a multi-MVP player,” Middleton said.
