Giannis Antetokounmpo flirting with triple-double as Bucks lead Pacers 88-84 after three quarters

At 7 p.m. tonight, the Milwaukee Bucks will defend their 15-game home winning run against the Indiana Pacers.

The Bucks (24-8) are 9-1 since losing to the Pacers (17-14) in the In-Season Tournament semifinals in Las Vegas on Dec. 7. That includes a 140-126 win against the Pacers at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 13, when Giannis Antetokounmpo established a club record with 64 points.

The Bucks led the Pacers 88-84 after Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 assists in the third quarter. Indiana’s bench has outscored Milwaukee’s 45-12 and the Pacers have 20 second-chance points to keep close.

Indiana led by six in the second quarter after scoring 25 points from оffensive rebounds (14) or Milwaukee turnovers (11), but Antetokounmpo’s 16 points and six assists gave the Bucks a 62-56 advantage at halftime. Brook Lopez added 11 and Khris Middleton 11. Ben Mathurin scored 12 off the Pacers bench.

After a 15-point lead, Milwaukee led Indiana 32-25 entering the second quarter. Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley both scored nine, while Antetokounmpo scored 10. Tyrese Haliburton had six points and three assists for Indiana.
