DeMar DeRozan makes NBA history in intense match between Lakers-Bulls

DeMar DeRozan rose in the NBA’s all-time standings of games played.

The Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers will play on Wednesday night at the United Center in Illinois.

DeMar DeRozan is playing in his 1,058th regular season game, which moves him ahead of Johnny Green and Manu Ginóbili and ties Elton Brand and Olden Polynice for 106th on the all-time list.

Following Brand and Polynice, the next player for DeRozan to pass will be Boris Diaw (1,064).

DeRozan came into the night with averages of 22.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range in 26 games.

The Bulls are currently ranked as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference after going 11–17 in their first 28 games.

They have won six of their past ten games, going 6-4 overall. Most recently, they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-104 (away).

DeRozan shot 5/15 from the field and finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block in 37 minutes of action.

On Thursday night at the United Center, the Bulls will host the San Antonio Spurs after the Lakers.

DeRozan was the ninth pick in the 2009 NBA Draft out of USC and is in his 15th season in the league.
