The Hotel like a ProTM films will debut during the big Christmas Day games. They show Jokić and Butler sharing their own unique hotel hacks with their up-and-coming teammates, guard Peyton Watson and youngster Jaime Jaquez Jr. The spots also show off Hotels.com’s brand-new points program, One Key, and the app’s smart shopping tool, which makes it easier for visitors to compare hotels and choose the best ones.
Jokić, who is known as “The Jоker,” adds a bit of fun to the marketing by using his love of horses and the Hotels.com app to look for hotels. A pony walks with the Serbian player and his partner Watson as they look for rooms that allow pets.1 On another screen, Jokić plans a trip to his favorite Serbia with OneKeyCash. Watch to see if Watson is invited.
Butler, who is known for opening a $20-a-cup coffee shop in Orlando during the 2020 NBA Restart, teaches Jaquez how to compare coffee, just like rooms.com’s app lets visitors compare rooms next to each other.
“We thought that NBA players would be great hotel experts since they travel for over 40 games and 40,000 miles every season,” said Michele Rousseau, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Expedia Group. “Working with the NBA conference MVPs from last season adds that winning touch that motivates fans to find their ideal hotel and make the most of their stay.”
Hotel.com has been the Official Travel Partner of the NBA for four years now, starting with this season. The campaign’s 10-, 15-, and 30-second films were shot at the RooseveltHotel and the FairmontCentry Plaza in Los Angeles. They will be shown all season in the US and Canada. Fans will also see marketing and logo features in NBA arenas across the country and in the video game NBA2K.
