Murphy’s life started in Brooklyn, another borough of New York City, in public housing. However, the comic left the lavish lifestyle of “Saturday Night Live” to pursue a career in acting and solo stand-up after rising to fame.
In addition to his reputed $15 mιllιon island in the Bahamas, the 59-year-old currently resides with his family in a custom-built $20 mιllιon Beverly Hills residence.
