The Miami Heat announced Wednesday that they will honor Dwyane Wade’s 2023 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fаme induction on Sunday, Jan. 14 against the Charlotte Hornets.
“The night will showcase highlights from Wade’s career, including an exclusive halftime interview featuring the basketball legend,” the release said.
Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Becky Hammon, Tony Parker, and Gregg Popovich were inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fаme this summer.
In 16 NBA seasons, 15 with the Heat, he averaged 22 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 0.8 blocks on 48.0 percent shooting and 76.5 percent free throws. Wade may be the best shot-blocker and shooting guard ever.
He was a 13-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA, three-time NBA Champ (all with the Heat), three-time All-Defensive, and 2006 Finals MVP, among other honors.
Wade, chosen by the Heat in 2003, leads the Heat in scoring, minutes played, assists, steals, games, and total field goals made. He’s the greatest player and franchise history, but more importantly, he sparked basketball fandom worldwide.
