Who’s back on the market, you ask?
The 57-year-old Dr. Dre is looking to sell the beach mansion in California that he has used as a vacation retreat for more than 20 years. Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency is presently listing the Malibu property on the Pacific Coast Highway for an impressive $20 million.
The rapper and co-founder of Beats Electronics has owned the nearly 9,000-square-foot estate since 2000, when he paid about $4.8 million for it, according to Dirt. In the 22 years that have passed, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom spread has seen significant appreciation, and the record producer seems likely to profit handsomely from its sale.
Nicole Young, the ex-wife of the Compton-born mogul, resided at the three-story “contemporary beach estate” in the upscale Carbon Beach neighborhood throughout the couple’s protracted divorce. After more than 20 years of marriage, the couple separated in December of last year. Page Six said at the time that the “Still D.R.E.” writer paid his ex $100 million in a large settlement that stipulated Dre would maintain the pair’s real estate holdings, the rights to his songs, and his stock options.
