Steph Curry Admits He Wishes Kevin Durant Were Still On The Warriors

Kevin Durant’s move to the Golden State Warriors in 2016 was a great combination of skills. During the few seasons they played together, Durant and Steph Curry were almost impossible to stop. They won two championships together, making them one of the best teams during the dynasty’s run.

Steph Curry wаnted Durant to come back to the Warriors.

Both sides have gone their separate ways, which have led to different outcomes. The Warriors had a rough patch for a few years because of injuries, but they got better and won another NBA title two years ago and were in the running for another last year.

Kevin Durant is still having a hard time finding his forever home. He first left the Warriors by trading to the Brooklyn Nets, where he joined Kyrie Irving on what was thought to be the next great team. The team and Durant never got along, and he was traded to the Phoenix Suns during the last season.

Even his new team lost. Phoenix had a disappointing postseason for the second year in a row, which led to the firing of their popular head coach and other big changes in the off-season. It looks like the Suns will be in the running for the Western Conference title again this coming season. But Durant might have ended up somewhere else if things had gone the way Curry wаnted them to.

Curry never got into a figҺt with KD.

A few weeks ago, Steph Curry was asked by The Ringer if he and Durant might work together again in the future. He confirmed that they did talk, which supports the rumors that the Warriors were interested in Durant before he was traded to Phoenix.

“There was probably a sense of excitement or wonder, like, ‘Is this really a possibility?'” To be honest, I had talked to him about it a few times, but he wasn’t involved in making decisions, so he couldn’t sаy, “I want to do X, Y, Z.” It seemed like a more natural conversation.

Even though Durant may have been fired because of something one of Curry’s teammates did, Curry says he has never had a problem with Durant. “He didn’t owe me anything,” Curry said. “He made up his own mind about when to leave.”
