Chelsea drop accidental 2023/24 away kit hint after Kevin Durant ‘revealing’

By accident, Chelsea dropped a hint about one of their new kits for the 2023–24 season. Their home kit didn’t come out until July because they were still having trouble finding a new main sponsor, so they haven’t worn anything but their base blue jersey in America yet.

The tour of the USA has been a success so far, with three wins and a draw from four games. However, fans still can’t buy the home kit. For most fans, it won’t be available until after the first game of the new season, which is a tough match against Liverpool on August 13.

With less than two weeks to go, the Blues still don’t have a front-of-shirt sponsor. The away kit and third kit have not been made public yet. Since the pre-season tops that are being worn now don’t have a sponsor, many people have liked how the design looks like it came from the 1990s.

During a promotional shoot with the club, NBA star Kevin Durrant seemed to wear a brand-new kit that hasn’t been made public yet. The two-time NBA champion and 2014 Most Valuable Player, Phoenix Suns forward, was a big part of the pre-game work in Landover.

Durant was born just outside of Washington, D.C., where Chelsea played Fulham in the last game of their Premier League Summer Series competition. Before that, they had played Brighton and Newcastle. He went out on the field right after the players for the coin toss before the game, and Chelsea’s social media showed him there.

There was a picture on Instagram with the caption “KD” that showed the American icon wearing a baseball jacket and what looks like an away or third shirt underneath. The design matches leaks of the away kit that have been going around for months, but nothing official has been released yet.
