Dwyane Wade had big plans when his oldest child was born. After all, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony both have sons around the same age.
His head was filled with images of the three NBA legends’ kids growing up together and playing basketball together.
“Zaya,” I said. Bryce is with LeBron. Kiyan is with Melo. Wade said on the Club Shay Shay show, “All in a 2 to 3 week period. “Oh we on! ” “All our kids going grow up hooping together. Wow, we’re having three babies! We on!”
You couldn’t possibly have said, “Baby, we wouldn’t be on the circuit right now!” We hoops, he continued.
The retired NBA player’s youngest child from his first marriage to Siohvaughn Funches, his high school sweetheart, is 16 years old. She and he are parents to Zaire, 21.
Wade also shares a daughter, Kaavia, age 4, with his wife Gabrielle Union, 50, and a son, Xavier, age 9, with Aja Metoyer.
He also understands that Zaya’s life is her journey and is a proud father.
“I got to see my child after that.” And while many people enjoy discussing Zaya’s shift, in my opinion, she hasn’t changed into anything,’ he remarked.
She’s still a child and is only now maturing into a young adult, he continued. I have followed her throughout her life. For us, there hasn’t been any change.
